New Floresta has contracted services with Sustainable Sprinkler and installed a smart sprinkler system giving us a location specific sprinkling solution based on past rainfall data, sensor data, and future weather forecast data. This will provide us an optimized sprinkling schedule to conserve water.
Landscape watering consumes more than half of urban water usage. Water conservation is a crucial part of environmental conservation. Further, in most cases the landscapes are considerably over-watered because the watering timers are fixed to schedules for worst/normal case scenarios.
Our new system should allow us to conserve thousands of gallons of water. Not only will we save money, but we are doing our part to help the environment.

Ficus Whitefly is a new pest attacking ficus hedges and trees in South Florida. It is a small insect that feeds on ficus stripping the plant of its leaves. If not treated severe damage or death to the plant will occur. Whitefly is now in New Floresta and several of our neighboring communities. All the ficus in the common areas of New Floresta have been treated. It is highly recommended that you also treat the ficus on your property or you will risk the lose of your plants.
